Guy stands shivering in the cold by the subway station holding a sign: "any change?"
Another guy walks by, throws a half smoked cigarette on the ground a few feet away from the beggar, who glances up and down the street, then stoops to retrieve it.
Was that on purpose? I think, like, did he give him the cigarette, but in such a way so as to make it look like it was an accident?
Is this some species of kindness?
